A Day in Montmartre
Hello everyone! On today's post I will talking about the beautiful neighborhood of Montmartre in the 18th Arrondisment of Paris. It's a quaint little hideaway atop the hills of the city giving expansive panoramic views from every corner. Depedning on which area of Montmartre you plan on visiting, I would personally suggest exploring around the Sacre Coeur Basilica since there are little streets and squares just waiting to be discovered. There are also stairs virtually everywhere in Montmartre so it's good to keep that mind if you don't enjoy walking around too much when it's too hot or too cold. This was once the place where famous writers and artists lived and worked.
This is the magnificent Sacre Coeur Basilica, another majestic cathedral among many others in Paris. This one offering a different style architecture rather than the gothic style on Notre Dame. If you climb to the top, you will get one of the best views in all of the city, especially when the sun goes down.
I loved admiring the Byzantine architecture!
The detail inside Sacre Coeur was absolutely incredible including the mosaic artwork of God.
Another one of my favorite photo ops!
Wandering the streets of Montmartre.
This is one my favorite spots in Montmartre. This is what I like to call artist square. It's a small square filled with local artists eager to paint an artwork of you. There's also plenty of shade if you're looking to take a break and relax.
These are the famous stairs of Montmartre featured in movies and for being so tall and steep. The higher you go, the better the view.
This was taken while I was at a cafè for lunch in Montmartre. Always look out for great photo ops!
It seriously looks like you're on a movie set!
This was my dinner area after Montmartre in the beautiful Placè Dauphine. Such a nice spot!
Until next time...
