The Holidays in Chester
Hi all! Can’t believe we’re already halfway through December and the festive magical time of year is almost upon us whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, or any other holiday! It’s that special time of year where you get to spend time with the ones you love! Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and maybe even got some sweet Black Friday deals! Now, it’s all eyes on the holidays! We’ve already gotten our first snow, about five to six inches where I live and more than a foot in Upstate New York. From what I’ve heard, it’s supposed to be a long and cold winter with plenty of snow here and there. Guess we’ll see! Temperatures have already dropped to the chills and the fall foliage is long gone but the exciting part is also ringing in a new year, 2020, and a new decade! Lots to look forward to and of course be thankful for! Never forget to appreciate the small things and to always give and spread kindness. ☺️❤️☮️
So, today’s post in particular is all about my most recent to the quaint adorable town of Chester, New Jersey. It’s a small rural town located in Morris County with surrounding rolling hills, farms, and horse ranches ideal for that picturesque countryside setting anytime of year. The town’s Main Street is dotted on both ends of the street with quaint little shops and boutiques selling anything from local food or handmade products from local artisans to speciality gifts for a loved one. You’ll be sure to find it all here! There are also plenty of places to eat and a great spot for coffee as well. Since it’s December the town is all decked out in festive holiday cheer perfect to ring in the holiday season!
This was taken just outside of an adorable yarn boutique and gift store called Rows of Purl. Quaint little store with plenty to browse and see! As you can probably tell there’s festive holiday garlands, ribbons and bows, and plenty of ornaments and poinsettias that make everything a little sweeter. 🎄🥰
Love this little spot! Some stores and even a dance center.
One of my favorite spots for coffee in Chester, Maria’s of Chester offers fresh brews and coffee blends as well as plenty of sweet treats in a cozy casual space where you can unwind and just enjoy it all. Love the outdoor decor here! I take a picture of this every time I visit! ☕️☺️
Love it all! 😍😍😍
These kinds of moments always call for a little light perspective.
Had to make a stop at my favorite local farm in Chester, a place I’ve been going to since I was little, called Alstede Farms. This adorable farm and marketplace is the purveyor of fresh local produce and products grown on the property year-round. Every season you’ll find a new surprise in store and now they sell fresh trees for Christmas and plenty of firewood for the hearth and fireplace. It’s so interesting to see how much this place changers from season to season. And you even be greeted by some of the local animals such as sheep and horses.
The possibilities are simply endless!
And here’s some more!
