Spring Flower Show at Lyndhurst Mansion
By Anthony Gadaleta
Happy April folks! Spring is almost in full swing and with that comes many opportunities for some outdoor adventures. As the temperatures slowly begin to warm up and finally make that wonderful transition from freezing cold days of snow to comfortable sunny days, the long-awaited Spring is here.
Today I made a visit to the beautiful Lyndhurst Mansion in Tarrytown, NY, located less than an hour from NYC and it really feels like a world away. This weekend they were hosting their annual Flower Show where you can roam the grounds and the interior building of the mansion all beautifully adorned in gorgeous floral blooms.
Designed in the Gothic Revival style, the mansion also hosts guided tours and other events. You can find out more about it on their website. Lyndhurst has also been the location of the hit HBO/HBO Max show The Gilded Age, where certain interior and exterior shots were filmed on location.
It is truly incredible to discover the history of this immaculate residence while also being captivated by the blooms.
So stately and beautifully decorated for the show!
I always love finding different opportunities for perspective shots wherever I can find them and document them for you all. So many colors, so many hues.
More beautiful blooms!
The State Bedroom has flowers in every corner you can think of. It certainly is a flower paradise for sure! It is so ornate and breathtaking.
This was the most beautiful bathroom! It honestly reminded me of the cover of a home and design magazine. So pretty!
The truly stunning and immaculate dining room was a sight to see.
Some flower decorations located near the entrance of the mansion. Such incredible presentation!
This is Gothic Revival architecture at its best. I felt like I was transported to the medieval castles of Europe when in reality I was right in the heart of the Hudson Valley in New York. There are so many design features to look at, not to mention the stained glass windows.
Here is another vantage point of the mansion. So many incredible details here.
There is also some stunning views of the Hudson River and the Governor Mario Cuomo Bridge in the nearby distance. The water was so still and calm today. It was also a picture-perfect day too.
I had such a wonderful experience at Lyndhurst Mansion and will definitely return soon!
