My Parisian Journey

My Parisian Journey

Hello, this is my very first blog! I have never done one before and decided to start one now. In this blog, I will be documenting my travels and showing you pictures of where I've traveled to throughout the years. I have a strong passion for travel and photography and love capturing the moment! The first one will be about where I have traveled to most recently, the beautiful city of Paris!

The Eiffel Tower at night.

Paris, whenever you hear the name it just takes your breath away. It's honestly one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It's got the charm and the history that captivates anyone who travels there. I traveled to Paris last month in July for the very first time and was already in love with it. I went there for two weeks to really experience the joie de vivre lifestyle that the French enjoy everyday. I have organized the pictures in chronological order of the days I was there and the places that I went to. I will also give some recommendations of places to go if you ever happen to be in Paris!

This was the first picture that I took when I arrived in Paris. The view from my hotel room looks onto a quiet Parisian street and onto the Sorbonne Univeristy. For those who may not know, it's a very prestigious school in Paris and probably all of France since it has been around for centuries dating all the way back to the Middle Ages. I loved waking up to that view every morning!

Outside the Sorbonne.

This is an outside entrance of the Sorbonne and once used to be a church in the past before the entire building completely became the university. It's an architectural delight for those looking for classic Parisian architecture. It's located on Place de la Sorbonne in the 5th Arrondisment (this meaning district or neighborhood).

Walking around in Paris and always finding perfect photo ops. I absolutely love the look of Parisian apartments!

Parisian doors.

Parisian doors are just adorable. I especially liked this one in particular since there were beautiful leaf vines atop it which really brought it all together!

My hotel was located in the heart of the Latin Quarter in the 5th Arrondisment of Paris. It's a quaint little square with fountains, charming little cafès and brasseries as well as a great spot for people watching. It's pedestrian friendly so you walk around with ease.

Notre Dame Cathedral

Notre Dame Cathedral

A must see in Paris, the Notre Dame Cathedral is truly my favorite monument in the entire city. I loved the gothic architecture that this church is so famous for. It's located on the Ile de la Cite which means the "Island of the City" overlooking both sides of the Seine River. It's one of the oldest monuments in Paris as well being around for centuries upon centuries. It's a Parisan wonder!

One of the best photo opportunities you can ever take. In my opinion, it's the best view of Notre Dame!

Beautiful summer evenings on the Seine are just incredible!

By the way, the sun sets at a much later hour in Paris than it would anywhere else due to its geographical location in Northern Europe. The sun sets at about 9:30 pm and it doesn't get completely dark until about 11 pm. Ideal for more exploring!
