The Met Cloisters

Today was a day filling the senses with art, culture, and history. I visited the Metropolitan Cloisters Museum for the very first time and was completely blown away with the incredible details of this reconstructed former monastery castle that is modeled in medieval gothic architecture, a type of architecture I truly admire with its intricate artwork and design with close attention to details! I wandered this majestic museum gazing at its fine collection of exhibitions, from late gothic, to medieval, to the Middle Ages, and beyond. The grounds itself are spectacular where you can take in the sweeping views of the mighty Hudson River in the nearby distance. I highly recommend visiting this impeccable destination as it will surely impress the senses and give you plenty of opportunities for amazing photo ops!

I would love to come back when it’s in bloom and see what it’s like then and even in the summer when you can picnic and sit al-fresco in the charming gardens that are located directly on the property!

Anywho, more travels to come! 😉
